Project Description:  Office, Housing, Support Facilities and site development and landscaping for the World Bank base in the Republic of South Sudan. The site mainly comprised of pre-fab buildings is being provided with new permanent buildings as well as a complete restoration of a badly eroded site. Site works include a sewage treatment plant, rainwater recharge, re-planting of native species and repairs to the power and water distribution. The building is underway with prospective LEED certification requiring the site to contain numerous features to conserve energy, restore the natural habitat, prevent erosion, conserve water, and provide a healthy atmosphere for the users. Buildings have been designed using products free of harmful chemicals and allow for maximum fresh filtered air. Rooms are designed with low-energy lights and maximize daylight into all offices. The construction site has been organized to minimize construction waste, dust and to ensure the health of the construction workers and the World Bank Staff who occupy the compound.
